Happy new year! I wish you an amazing star(t) on this new year. I'm super excited and I bet I'm not the only one! Here's a free crochet pattern for a cute little star to keep you company on your adventures. It would be a perfect key chain, tree decoration or maybe something to hang above the baby crib. Yarn (ex. BC Garn Alba 50g = 160 m), crochet hook (ex. 3.00 mm), scissors, tapestry needle, stuffing
GAUGE
28 sc stitches on 10 cm | 30 rows on 10 cm.

r = row, st = stitch, sl st = slip stitch, ch = chain stitch, sc = single crochet, dc = double crochet, inc = increase

STAR CROCHET PATTERN

▪ The star is crocheted in a spiral.
 
CIRCLE x2
r 1: 2 ch, 6 sc in the second chain from the hook. (6) = magic circle
r 2: [inc]x6. (12)
r 3: [1 sc, inc]x6. (18)
r 4: [2 sc, inc]x6. (24)
▪ Cut of the yarn on the first circle and fasten of the yarn ends.
▪ Crochet the second circle.

▪ Do not cut of the yarn on the second circle.
▪ Continue to crochet together the two circles, back to back,
r 5 (both circles together): [3 sc, inc]x6. (30) Stuff the star before closing the gap.
r 6: [skip 2 st, 3 dc, 2 ch, sl st in the second ch from the hook, 3 dc in the same st as the previous 3 dc, skip 2 st, sl st]x5. Skip the last sl st and end the row with a invisible join.
▪ Cut off and fasten the yarn ends.
▪ Embroyed a cute pair of eyes on your star.
