CROCHET 101 - How to crochet chain stitch

In this blog post you'll find a beginner friendly guide on how to crochet the chain stitch! The stitch is explained in text, pictures and video. The abbreviation for chain stitch is usually ch and that's probably what you'll see in different kinds of crochet patterns. This stitch is a very common foundation stitch and can be used in the beginning when crocheting a scarf for example.

HOW TO CROCHET CHAIN STITCH FOR BEGINNERS
Picture 1: We'll start with an adjustable loop. Put the loop on the crochet hook.
Picture 2: Put the yarn over the crochet hook from behind.
Picture 3: Pull the yarn through the loop on your crochet hook.
Picture 4: You have now completed your first chain stitch! Congratulations! Continue to make as many stitches as you want or as the pattern suggests.
